Is it nice?

At last, I have worked on the template for my boys. I just wonder whether it too much, or too little.

A peek of their blog..

So, what do you think?

The new look

Monday, February 27, 2006
I have been looking out for a nice template for my blog, but nothing caught my attention. Getting bored of searching, I decided to design my own.

When I asked hubby what could picture Essence of Love well, he said "Flowers". So, the banner picture that I have here was taken during my trip to Switzerland.. of the balcony of a home in the countryside.

Now that I have changed the template of my blog, I couldn't help noticing that my son's blogs also need some colours. Hmmm, must work on their blogs at once.

What a relieve..

Friday, February 24, 2006
When I got home after work two days ago, MILs told me that Champion had used a cotton bud and pushed it into his ears. Apparently, he was followed what his elder cousins were doing. MILs was cooking at that time, and hardly realised what had happened. She only heard Champion crying.

Arrggh! He had pushed the cotton bud into his ears.. and a bit too much that he felt pain. After a little while, he stopped crying and continued playing, she said. So, she asumed that he was okay. She asked him whether she should called apps, he gave a BIG no. So, she left him to play.

When I asked him whether it was painful, he gave me a BIG no! Okay, since Champion didn't complain of any pain, I thought it should be fine.

But, I knew that when Champion gives a BIG no, its a YES. So, fearing of any internal injury, I asked apps to check his ears in the morning (he slept of early that night). Guess what we saw? He has dried blood, which flowed out to the outer of his ear. Ouch! We felt the pain. Can you imagine? Pushing in something your ears, till it bleeds?

Apps checked. Of course, Champion was reluctant. But I had to hold him down. This was not something to play. Unfortunately, there were dried blood covering his ear drum. So, apps was unable to assess the injury. He said we have to wait till the dried blood clears off.

Apps checked again this morning. To our great relieve, Champion had only hurt his side walls of the ear, and NOT his ear drum.

Phew! What a relieve.

Where's appa?

Thursday, February 23, 2006
Normally, apps would be home before I bring back the boys. So, he is there to greet them when they arrive. But, yesterday, apps had to work late. He's even working late for the next two days.

So, when we got back home yesterday, Champion went into the house and started calling out for his daddy, "Appa, appa.." He walked around, called out at the staircase (thinking he might be upstairs) and then came back to me..

As I was taking lil President off from his car-seat, he asked me, "Where's appa?"

"Appa go work. Appa is not back", I said.

Again, he went back in, calling out for apps. I felt bad for him. *sigh*

He came back to me, and asked again..

"Appa go work. He will be back later. You wait another two hours (actually more than that)? " I said, trying to console him.

Hmmm, he just nodded his head, without a smile, he walked into the house...

*sigh*

Hours passed, and it was time to get into bed. Thank God, both of them didn't make much fuss to sleep. Since apps is always next to Champion until he sleeps off (while I am with lil President), he felt apps absence. He called out to me...
"Ma.."
"Yes sayang"
"Ma.."
"Yes baby"

He didn't answer me. After little while, again he called out to me..
"Ma.."
"Yes sayang"
"Hand"

He wanted to hold my hand..
..and soon he slept off.

This morning, apps said that at 5 a.m., Champion woke up and called out for him, "Appa.. carry" and held out his hand for apps to carry him...

My, my, my.. Champion missed apps even for a day *sigh*

Since he only saw his daddy in his sleep this morning, he is gonna look for apps again, this evening. Hmmm, how to answer him again?

Behind bars

Tuesday, February 21, 2006
If not for the barrier gates, Mr. President will be climbing upstairs all by himself now. Phew!

We have not one, but two. One for the staircase, another for the entrance to the kitchen.

Nowadays, Mr. President is trying to see if he can open it...

Passion to music

Champion and Mr. President loves music. They will be dancing (or bouncing) when they hear any music.

Check them out here...
  • Champion dancing with his cousins

  • Champion dancing along with a dance show on TV

  • Mr. President bouncing away with music

  • The passion continues...

I was amused that he even knows how to holds the sticks.. When he picked the sticks up from its place, he tuened it upside down to hold it correctly. You're really a Champion!

I love to see him drumming.. After each session, he will give me a broad smile, to show his contentment. Here's one of his drumming session...

    Back at last

After a busy week of meetings, I'm back. Phew, I have lots of catching up to do. So much has been happening.. at home and amongst bloggers. I've got lots to write, and lots to read too..

Last week, my meeting cum conference was in KL. I actually dreaded the thought of driving to KL.. thinking of the jam. But, since I didn't prefer going there by public transport (not convenient), I had no choice.

To make things worse, it rained everyday.Hmmpph!

But now that I'm back at my office (far, far aways from KL), I find it more peaceful...

    Lion, lion!

    Monday, February 06, 2006
That's what Champion says when he sees the lion of the lion dance. Since he watched the lion dance in our neighbour's house, he is all excited about it.

On Saturday, he even pointed out the lion dance photo on the front page of the Star newspaper. "Lion, lion". So cute. Now I know he is no more afraid of the loud drumming and the big colourful lion.

I wonder whether Champion can see another lion dance. I really wanna watch it again, a whole complete show. Apps didn't get to watch the lion dance the other day (since he was working). So, he too was asking why there were no lion dance during the weekend.

Hmm, will we have to wait till next year?

    Exciting trip

    Friday, February 03, 2006
At last, we made a trip to the zoo. My, my, it was so crowded. At 10.30 a.m., the car park was nearly full.

I knew I was more excited than the boys. It had been ages since I last visited the zoo. I was going, "See elephant, see girrafe, see tiger, see lion.. " while making their sounds...

Champion got to feed the elephant. Apart from watching the animals, he was also excited to see so many children.

I was busy with my camera.. trying to get some good shots. It was difficult with President in my arms. But still, here's what I got.

Apps mentioned that zoo was even open at night during weekends and public holidays. So, the next visit will definitely be during the night. It was too hot and uncomfortable during the day.. I am sure it will be a different experience to visit the zoo at night.. but not too soon. I think we shall wait for Mr. President to grow up a bit, so that he can enjoy his visit better.

    The awaited dance

    Thursday, February 02, 2006
This year was pretty quite. It was not a bit like the previous years.

We were looking forward to the fire crakers 'show' around our neighbourhood on the eve of Chinese New Year. We were also expecting the lion dance on the New Year too.

    But there were none!

It didn't look or sound like Chinese New Year. Most of our neighbours had 'balik kampung'.

Yesterday, while Champion and President was having their afternoon nap, a loud noise, woke them up. I knew immediately it was the lion dancers. Hooray!

We ran out to the porch. At first, Champion was a bit afraid to see the lion dance. He wanted to get back in the house. "No, we can't get back in the house. We will miss it!" So, I talked to him, made him all excited.. Soon enough, he too was looking forward to the lion dancers to come out of the house (they we inside at that time).

He liked it. But who enjoyed it the most? It was lil' President. He was bouncing away in my arms. He loved the drum beats. To end the show, both of them were not even afraid of the loud red crakers that were lit after the dance!

My neighbours wanted to have them dance at their place. Unfortunately, this group of dancers said that they were personally called by the owner of that house, and made that trip specially for them. Hmmmpphh, how could they say that? But never mind, our neighbours said that later this week there will be more lion dance groups going round, and they will invite them over.

And guess who want a lion dance performance too? Apps! Yeap, he told them that he too wants the dancers to come to our house...

    Ooooo, I can't wait..
