When I used the 1, 2, 3 formula, amma recognized the 1, 2, 3 from the days that she was cautioning us (thambhi and I).
Amma, I learn from the best on how to bring up my children. I found that the 1, 2, 3 formula works on my kids the way it worked for us ;)
Psst, I even use the formula whereby “if you come here, I beat you once (or do not get any beating), if I get to you, I get it double!” That works very well too!
I count 1, 2, 3 to give them a chance to stop any wrong doing, and the boys will stop whatever they are up to before I get to 3. If they don't I would have to get there to smack them!
Treasuring those moments

When the mood is right...
When they are in bad times...
They are two types of wind.. I myself don’t know when the winds change. Whatever it is, I just want to treasure those moments!
They share their toys,
They feed each other,
They give each other a hug,
They say good night to each other,
They explain how to play a toy,
They tell a story to the other,
... and the list goes on.
When they are in bad times...
They don’t like sharing,
They get irritated with each other,
They give each other a push,
They shout at each other,
They ignore each other,
... and the list goes on.
They are two types of wind.. I myself don’t know when the winds change. Whatever it is, I just want to treasure those moments!

So embarrassing!
Friday, May 02, 2008
Since Thytus had to wear glasses, we got Nixon to check his eyes too. Apparently, Nixon had to wear glasses too.
Thytus is a responsible child – wears his glasses all the time and takes care of it well.
On the other hand, Nixon being himself, does not handle it very well. He loves to treat it like a sunglasses, perform acrobatic acts with the glasses, bend it this way and that way!
We have to visit the optician nearly every alternate days. It becomes really embarrassing for us. Apps and I take turn to visit the optician.. to share the embarrassment!
The optician is amazes how does Nixon bend the glasses with his bare hands, while the he has to use the his instruments to repair the glasses!
