It's the season..

It's this time of the year again, and we were really busy.. putting up the tree and decorations, buying gifts for all, wrapping them, etc.

We let the boys put up the decorations on the tree.. and the tree ended up being heavily decorated on the lower half! We had to help move a bit to the upper half..

We also put up an old tree we had, a smaller one.. let Thytus and Nixon do the deceorations by themselves. They called it 'their tree'.

We managed to keep Aaron away from the tree, but he still tries to grab a deco or two when we are not watching. Luckily he does not know how to tear open teh wrappers of the gift, and thus, the gifts are still wrapped, lying there under the tree, waiting to be given away. Phew!

Thytus and Nixon are counting down to Christmas.. as they can't wait to open the presents! We stacked their presents under the big tree, and the next minute, they moved their presents to under 'their tree'. We had to give in :)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

First time there

It was quite difficult for me to be on away on a business trip this time. It was not as easy as I thought. I missed my boys even more..

Luckily they were okay when I was away. It helped that apps sister was down from India, and the boys were too occupied to even know I was not around. *sigh*

We had a pretty busy week in Canberra, and was not able to see much.. not that there is much too see anyway! Nevertheless, we managed to visit the Parliament House and the Black Mountain Tower, which is their telecom tower. Our counterpart in Australia hosted a dinner for us at the ‘alto’ Restaurant at the tower.

The weather was pretty good since we were just entering into summer when we arrived there. In the evenings it was pretty cold, but bearable.

Someday, I must make a trip to the other parts of Australia.. Sydney, Melbourne and Perth since there is more to see there :)

Up close with the animals

We made a trip to A’ Famosa during the weekend, together with in-laws, nieces and nephews. This trip was more special since apps sister and children were in Malaysia for a two week visit.

The boys were especially excited..
  • they feed the animals

  • they rode on the elephant

  • they played with the chicks

  • Nixon loved touching and tried all chances to carry the animals. Before we knew it, he had a rabbit on his lap!

Thytus was a bit careful with the animals. He did feed and play with the animals, but made sure they did not surprise him :)

Aaron loved the outing too. Although he was sleeping half the time, he was excited in every chance that he got close with the animals..
